We are an all volunteer organization. We THRIVE on volunteers!
Here are some ways for you to get involved:
1. Occasional Warehouse/Event Helpers
We are looking for people to volunteer on donation days and during events. This is a crucial element of BFS, and we cannot exist without people doing this! It does not require a long term commitment, just a few hours on a Saturday spent helping organize, sort and distribute.
2. Event Volunteers
We are looking for people to commit to leading occasional events, such as rotating free markets and donation days.
3. Researcher
We are always trying to learn more about the needs in Baltimore, cool places to recycle, what grants are available to us, etc. We are looking for someone to commit a few hours/month research things like these for us.
4. Take the Lead
The Free Store is about communities getting involved and taking the reins. Capable, enthusiastic, committed volunteers are always needed to come on board and take a leadership role.
